I have this gorgeous flower patterned cosmos blue brocade fabric. The cosmos blue (turquoise?) interplays with the mauve embroidery in an interesting way. It’s hard to photograph this fabric as it’s rather shiny. Depending on the viewing angle you may perceive colours and shades that are not present in reality — like that certain infamous white&gold / blue&black dress.
I decided to craft a pen kimono from this fabric. The inner lining and the band is made of an ocean blue cotton sateen. Et voilà.
The pen is a Waterman Carène Essential Silver. The origami flowers are Kawasaki roses made according to Conrad Chou’s instructions using craft paper. This is probably the most what my origami skills allow me to do 😁
