I’ve found a great YouTube video🔗 about preserving autumn leaves with glycerine. The leaves develop a soft, leather-like feel to them. They don’t dry out or become brittle thoug they can still tear easily. Supposedly, the leaves can be preserved this way for years.
What seems exciting is that you can cut the leaves into shape, glue them to a fabric or paper, saw them, seal them with decoupage glue to decorate flat surfaces. I’m planning to use it for bookbinding or to craft a nice box.
Anyone talented in cutting and sewing dresses can use this technique to make (Halloween) costumes or cosplay as an autumn fairy🔗.
