Notebook and Pen kimono for Bamboo

I’ve made a notebook and pen kimono set using Japanese Seigaiha patterned fabric. I used matcha green and mustard yellow coloured ones that I think match my Penmeester.be Ranga Bamboo Heki Tamenuri pen well. Since I wanted to protect the urushi coated pen holder from sunlight, I’ve made a Seigaiha protective sack for that as well.

I’ve seen in a South Korean psycho drama a girl using a wide silk ribbon to keep her notebook fastened. I thought of experimenting with it and added this feature to the notebook. I think in a way this fits better than the usual elastic bands.

I created a stop motion animation featuring the pen and all its accessories. All these were fun mostly harmless projects and I’m happy to share the end results.

The complete set:

  • Penmeester.be Ranga Bamboo Heki Tamenuri 14k Bock Medium Stub
with Opus Cineris Ginkgo gold roll stopper
  • Peterpen.eu Seigaiha mustard yellow pen kimono
  • Penmeester.be Heki Tamenuri bamboo pen case
with Peterpen.eu Seigaiha mustard yellow protective sleeve
  • Peterpen.eu Seigaiha matcha green notebook
with Tomoe River 52 g/m2 paper
