Tamenuri Studio Blue in Green

Today I’ve received my new Tamenuri Studio Blue in Green pen and it looks GORGEOUS.

This pen deserves to have a very special gold nib. I’ve ordered a white gold Santini #6 size nib in a hope that somehow this can be fitted into this pen. I like the Santini nibs and this one is very special because it’s made of white gold. I myself don’t know of any other nib manufacturer who use white gold. All the silver coloured gold nibs are actually made of yellow gold and plated with rhodium.

Since the nib the Blue in Green came with is an inexpensive Bock steel nib I was courageous enough to at least try swapping the nib myself. I managed to pull the nib and feed from the Bock housing and replace the Bock steel nib with the Santini white gold one. I sort of expected this not to work due to some capillary action failure but actually IT WORKS. I’m over the moon!
