I’ve got a truly lovely birthday present from my wife. It’s a sea-themed pen painted by her using nail polish. The base pen is a humble Chinese pen from HEMA (no branding whatsoever). This present is absolutely gorgeous. I know it’s very hard to give someone a present related to his hobby but my wife has nailed it (no pun intended). I wouldn’t be happier for any fancy pen. The nib is surprisingly decent too for such a cheap Chinese pen.
I think this pen goes very well with this Akkerman Laan van Nieuw Oost-Indigo ink.
And how shall we name her? As you see, we’ve settled for Hema Sea Cucumber.
