My new watch is a strap monster

Just look how different this watch can look by changing the strap. This grey sunburst dial matches so many different colours.

Of course each strap combo must be paired with a matching fountain pen as well 🤓

The watch is a humble Seiko 5 ref. SRPE51K1 that runs on a basic 4R36 automatic movement (hacking, day & date complications). I like this very legible diver style dial with large lumed markers and no numbers. All this without the chunky rotating bezel of a diver, making it a very versatile everyday sport watch having a diameter of 40mm. Some compromises were made which is not completely unexpected in this price range: the glass is Hardlex crystal without AR coating. The original metal bracelet is also nothing to rave about but as you see I switched quickly to NATO and perlon straps 😀
