Jan is ready with the 5 base Seshime urushi layers and started building up the middle coloured layers. It will take about 8 layers to reach the desired result. This is a picture taken after the first green layer.
The green urushi is a so called ‘Taketani-lake green’. It comes as a concentrated mix of pigments and urushi that needs to be further diluted with urushi before being applied.
